If everyone agrees that trust is the lubricant of all relationships, why do so many companies fail to take crisis planning more seriously, especially when nothing can cripple trust in leadership and institutional brands more fatally? What’s more important than crisis avoidance and crisis mitigation plans? Having completed more than 200 crisis plans and crisis plan audits, 91% of all companies have gaps in their crisis plan and 76% have not updated their crisis plan in the past three years. In the event of a situation that threatens to destroy brand reputation and trust, immediate and cross-enterprise actions must be taken to remediate and turn the situation around. With the right approach, organisations can focus on rebuilding trust relationships, utilising the crisis as an opportunity to improve and listen to the needs of their stakeholders.

About Tracey Linnell
Director & Founder
I have been involved in Risk and IT for more than a decade and a half and I still find it the most diverse and interesting field of work in which to operate. My experience spans multiple industries, with many years spent in the financial services sector, both in South Africa and in London. I have held permanent and consulting roles, as well as a number of years of running consulting divisions.
I have been involved in Business Continuity Management (BCM) and ICT Continuity since 2003. I have completed a B.Com (Information Technology) with honours at the University of Johannesburg and I am a member of the BCI and hold the CBCI certification.
With this experience and my passion for building relationships and effecting change, I decided to hatch Tracey Linnell Consulting, and more specifically the acronym TLC to be able to provide the quality and service that is both personal and professional and built on growing long term relationships.
